Readers' News Section Launched

Sep 17, 2003 -- With this edition we launch a new feature of The Seattle Press On Line, News Bayou.

News Bayou will consist entirely of stories submitted by readers. We'll publish those that offer an insight into what the people of Seattle and the Puget Sound region are planning, doing and thinking.

In short order, we'll have an online submission procedure, and we invite your participation.

All stories will be attributed to the author. We will be ruthless in our use of the round file, so tell the truth and try to build your neighbors up, not tear them down. Most articles will have a way to add your comments, and registered users whose email addresses have been verified will be able to open related threads in the Forums.

As the billboard owner wrote, "watch this space!"
