Nader Nakhla, CEO of The Palm Tree Fund, a Seattle financial brokerage, has been inducted by The National Registry of Who's Who as a life member.

The Boy Scouts of America, Chief Seattle Council, has bestowed it's prestigious Silver Beaver award on Suzie Burke, President of Fremont Dock Co.

In a statement accompanying the award, the Scouts said "Under her leadership as financial Chair, the Central Exploring District has achieved its financial goals and quality district status three years in a row. She also served as a committee member for North Seattle Police Department Post #2940."

The award also noted some of Burke's other community activities including: charter member of Fremont Chamber of Commerce and Fremont Fun Club Rotary. She is active in the North Seattle Industrial Association, the Fremont Revitalization Project and serves as President of History House.

The University Kiwanis Club which has held its weekly Monday meetings at noon for the last 73 years will change to morning meetings beginning June 5th.

Meetings of the club which was founded in 1927 will continue to be held at the Edmond Meany hotel, 45th and Brooklyn, but will begin at 7 AM instead on noon. The menu will be changed from a full plated lunch to a continental breakfast, University Kiwanis operates Tallmadge Hamilton House, a senior activity center in Seattle, sponsors the Circle K Club at University of Washington, and the Key Club at Ingraham High School.
