The Center For Wooden Boats Provides Waterfront Living History

Bob Perkins
Apr 21, 1999 -- Bob Perkins of the Center for Wooden Boats helps get the Center's Concordia sloop ready for the boating season. Dozens of volunteers are spending the sunny afternoons sanding and varnishing the Center's fleet of boats. All boats at the Center are recreations of historic designs. In summer, they will be available for hourly rental, supporting the Center's youth and wooden boat heritage programs. The Wooden Boat Center is located at 1010 Valley Street, phone 382-2628.
