Anzanga Marimba Ensemble to Perform in Fremont

The Anzanga Marimba Ensemble will take the stage from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m., September 8, as the fifth performance in the six-concert series at Solstice Plaza, North 34th Street and Fremont Avenue North at Adobe. The music of the Anzanga Marimba Ensemble draws on the heritage of many African cultures with the strongest influence from the Shona culture of Zimbabwe. The eight-piece ensemble has members as young as 13 years, as well as adults. All the performers play marimbas. This is the second year for the Summer Concert Series at Solstice Plaza, which is presented by Lake Union Center. The last performance in the series, Pink Torpedos, is scheduled for September 15.
