BoatingBoats Afloat Show set for September 13-17 on Seattle's Lake Union
The show offers serious buyers and other boating enthusiasts a chance to view the industry's latest models as well as brokerage boats on the market. The show is held every year by the Northwest Yacht Brokers Association. The show spotlights larger boats with an average length of over 40 feet. The show is expected to attract a variety of large luxury yachts, the newest catamaran models, the resurrection of classic, high-end designs, shore-side exhibits and other boating attractions. One of the highlights at this year's show is a multi-million dollar 82-foot Horizon luxury yacht. The yacht, which was built in Taiwan, will make a five-day appearance at the show before continuing its journey south for delivery. This year's show will also feature a large selection of catamarans, including a model from Lagoon, a France-based leader in design and production of catamaran sailboats. Show hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the weekend. Admission is free, but those wanting to board boats must purchase a "boarding pass" for $8.00 (single day pass) or $15.00 (multi-day pass).
