"What's Cookin' In Wallingford" Festival September 9
Sep 06, 2000 -- Wallingford restaurants and Starbucks Coffee invite the public to the 5th Annual "What's Cookin' in Wallingford" on September 9 from 4 - 8 p.m. with a beer garden featuring Pyramid Ales open until 9 p.m. The event will include music and samples of food from participating restaurants, cafes, bistros and pubs. Proceeds will benefit FamilyWorks, a food bank and family resource center. Non-perishable food donations can be made at the following locations in Wallingford on the day of the event: Taco Time, Julia's, the Wallingford Neighborhood Office and Jitterbug as well as bringing donations directly to the food bank at 1501 N 45th St. The food bank helps more than 300 people with groceries each week, assisted by local supermarkets, bakeries, Food Lifeline and the public.Reader Comments
