Friends Of Discovery Park Annual Meeting

Sep 19, 2000 -- The Friends of Discovery Park will take up the issue of shoreline habitat restoration at their annual meeting, which will be held in the Park Visitor Center at 7 p.m. on October 4.

County Councilmember Larry Phillips will open the discussion on efforts to improve our shorelines. Jacque White, biologist for the People for Puget Sound, will speak and will present a slide show on problems and successes to improve the health of Puget Sound.

Stephanie Jones, the new park manager, will also be on hand.

Nominating committee chairman Neal Cholvin will conduct the election of Friends officers and board members for the coming year.
