Fall Festival has Plenty for Kids to Do at Fishermen's Terminal September 23
Sep 20, 2000 --
Kids can build a toy fishing boat at the free Fishermen's Fall Festival, September 23 at Fishermen's Terminal in Ballard, 11 a.m. till dusk. They can also get their faces painted, decorate oyster shells and meet J.P. Patches, the idol of their parents’ younger years.
Visiting vessels docked at the terminal will include Sea Scouts, U.S. Coast Guard, a Bristol Bay Gillnetter and the Police Harbor Patrol.
Historical and industrial exhibits, a beer tasting garden, Polynesian show and survival suit races are some of the activities included in the program. Music will be provided by The Lost Vaurnets.
The festival offers barbecued salmon dinners for $6 (kids, $2.50).
Proceeds from the festival support the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial Foundation, which provides services to families of those lost at sea, sponsors safety awareness programs and preserves and cares for the Seattle Fishermen's Memorial honoring those who lost their lives at sea in the fishing industry.

You article doesn't mention a year for this festival date, but I noticed a copyright of 2004. September 23, 2004 is on a Thursday, though.
Since web content is archived virtually for ever, I think you should include more definitive dates of events in your articles. |

I was wondering if this date was right. See i went to this festival last year with my daughter for the first time. I would really love to know if Septemeber 23 is the true date. I don't want to miss one of the highlights of the year. Thank you Dani B. |
