A woman rides her bicycle in Laurelhurst on a Friday evening at 5:30 p.m. A car travelling in the same direction passes her, and one of the car's occupants throws a phone book out the window, just grazing her front tire. She manages to keep control of her bike and is not hurt. The car is a smaller red sedan with four or five people in it, last seen westbound on Northeast 41st Street...

Police officers see an 18-year-old girl drinking beer from a can on Northeast 45th Street. When she sees them, she attempts to hide the can behind a bush near where she is sitting. An officer brings it out and determines that it is indeed beer. He then verifies that the girl is, indeed, underage. He asks her where she got the beer, and she points to the fraternity house behind her, saying, "They are giving it out in there." She is charged with being a minor in possession of a controlled substance and released from the scene...

A North Seattle man looks out his kitchen window at 2:28 p.m. on a Monday afternoon and sees a man driving a gray Honda Civic pull up to his mailbox and remove his mail. The man yells out his window, and the suspect stops, backs up and puts the mail back. He replies twice that he must have the wrong mailbox, then leaves westbound on North 125th Street. The Honda is discovered to have been stolen...

A North Ballard resident sees a man looking through things inside his female relative's car, which is parked outside her house. He tells her, and she realizes that her car is being prowled. Drawing on her job experience as a security guard, she follows the man down the sidewalk and demands, "What were you doing in my car?" The suspect replies, "I'm Seattle police," and keeps walking. Not satisfied, she follows him for another few blocks, but then he runs away through the back yard of a house. She says she would definitely recognize him if she sees him again. She does not believe anything was taken from her car...

A stereo dealership on Aurora Avenue North is the culprit in numerous noise complaints. The latest incident was reported on a Monday when the proprietor of a business across Aurora said that the noise level is beyond acceptable le volume and is actually shaking his business. Police have also responded to complaints from a nearby apartment complex. The police report states that employees of the stereo store have been warned about the noise but the problem continues...

A man leaves his debit card in an ATM machine on University Way Northeast on a Sunday evening. Unknown suspects take $220 from his account...

Officers Kempe and Clark, responding to a liquor violation at Northeast 42nd Street and University Way Northeast at 10:30 p.m. on a Monday, are approached by a young man who demands to know why they have contacted the liquor suspect. Officer Kempe responds that if he discussed the matter he would be violating the rights of the suspect. The young man responds that in that case, the officers are just harassing the drinker. Officer Kempe asks the man, who is within arm's reach, to step back. The man suddenly reaches out and grabs officer Kempe's badge. The officer pushes him away, and the man drops into a "Kung Fu stance, standing on one leg, the other knee raised and both arms raised in the air like wings. I believe it is called 'The Crane.'" Officer Kempe pulls out his "capstun" and Officer Clark approaches the man from behind. The officers each grab one of the man's arms, handcuff him and put him inside their patrol car. The man continues talking, saying that he could kill the officers in two seconds if he wanted to and that he will let them live if they let him go. He then says his name is Bruce Lee. "Mr. Lee" is taken downtown and booked into King County Jail...
