Jan 11, 2001 -- Sound Transit’s Back Room Deal Nets Metro Tunnel

To the Editor:

Just in case you missed it, whilst bedazzled by chads, dimples and butterfly ballots, the fine, upstanding folks at Metro Transit actually sold the very expensive tunnel that we citizens bought and paid for, to Sound Transit, in a very quiet "ceremony." The price tag? One dollar!

Where are our darling "protesters" now, when we really could use them and their well-publicized antics?
