Dyslexia Lecture Offered

Feb 08, 2001 -- Do you suspect that your child or a child in your preschool or kindergarten class may be dyslexic? Early intervention for dyslexic children often prevents disastrous consequences later in school. Local dyslexia expert, Bonnie Meyer, will present "Identifying and Helping Young Children with Dyslexia," Thursday, February 15 at 7 p.m.

Bonnie Meyer is the director of the Hamlin Robinson School for dyslexic children and a parent of a dyslexic child. She will discuss early signs of dyslexia as well as fun strategies to help any child learn to read. The lecture is sponsored by the Washington State Branch of the International Dyslexia Association.

The lecture will be held at the Fremont Public Association, 1501 North 45th Street. A $5.00 donation is requested.

   Hello! I'm really trying to determine if I have Dyslexia. I guess that I would like to find out if I can take a test or something that would help me more about this. I must add that from some of the questions I have answered, It definitely seems like I could have it.
