Fremont Fresh Market Celebrates First Anniversary

Feb 08, 2001 -- On Saturday, February 3, Fremont Fresh Market pulled out all the stops to thank its customers and vendors for a successful first year in business. Festivities included games, prizes, and a free rolling breakfast buffet.

Store owners Dan and Lillian Cawdrey are proud to have developed a smaller, local grocery store with personal service, top-quality groceries and an exceptional staff. Meat department head Morrey Eskanazi is a second-generation butcher who smokes his own meats--and he's so popular he came to Fremont Fresh with a cult following. Viggo Anderson, a Cordon Bleu chef with 38 years of experience, was originally hired to manage the deli, but now happily oversees all the store's fresh food.

Fremont Fresh Market's wine selection is another source of pride for the Cawdreys. They say, "People are really impressed with our selection. After all, we have more than 1,000 bottles."

Fremont Fresh Market is located at 3601 Fremont Avenue North in Fremont.
