Voices of Ballard Published

Oct 25, 2001 -- A celebration at the Nordic Heritage Museum marked the publication of Voices of Ballard: Immigrant Stories from a Vanishing Generation on October 24. The book is the culmination of an enormous volunteer project, and contains the stories of more than 100 immigrants.

In addition to the book, two videotapes were released, featuring excerpts from the interviews, photographs and music to complement the book.

The project was supported by the Neighborhood Matching Fund, the Department of Neighborhoods and the King County Landmarks and Heritage Commission, as well as thousands of volunteers. The book is available in the Nordic Heritage Museum gift shop for $15.95.
