Nordic Holiday Celebration in Ballard
Nov 21, 2001 -- On Saturday, November 24, the Eighth Annual Nordic Holiday Celebration kicks off the season with a full day of festivities.A Norwegian Pancake Breakfast starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Leif Erikson Hall Auditorium, 2245 NW 57th St. If you don't fancy pancakes, try ham or scrambled eggs and enjoy the live musical entertainment and Norwegian Christmas crafts.
At 12:30 p.m., Santa will arrive via fishing boat at the 24th Avenue Dock. He and his elves will be met by the Last Resort Fire Department, who will escort him around Ballard to Bergen Place in a parade with trolls, the Norwegian Male Chorus and children of all ages. At Bergen Place, Santa will be available for visits with children.
