That's right, Wallingford has Nothing New Under the Sun--just recycled, re-used and reclaimed art, fashion, jewelry and lots more at Robin Worley's new shop.
Nothing New is a boutique-style store featuring the work of more than 20 local artists and craftspeople, all of whom use found objects or recycled materials in their products. Here you will find jewelry made of found glass or glittery reflectors, purses that began life as cookie tins, gorgeous tile-mosaic tables, re-designed clothing and a whole lot more.
"I've dreamed of opening this shop for years," says Worley. "I finally made a commitment to do it this summer, and I found the space in August." The space is located at 1717 N 45th St., near the intersection with Wallingford Avenue. Her grand opening was on November 16, just in time for the holiday rush. "I'm inviting the community to save the economy--start here!"
