Neighborhoods Head Diers Axed
Dec 20, 2001 -- As part of a City Hall shakeup announced December 13, incoming Mayor Greg Nickels fired several city department heads including Department of Neighborhoods Jim Diers.Diers held the job for 14 years and enjoyed great popularity with neighborhood activists, who credit him with inspiring greater community involvement. Stay tuned to see what changes the ripple effect of Diers' firing will bring.
