Calling All Potholes
Feb 14, 2002 --
In a move reminiscent of Mayor Schell's pledges to improve traffic basics in Seattle, new Mayor Greg Nickels pledged that every pothole called in by a citizen would be filled within 48 hours.
He quickly qualified his promise, saying, "While we've been able to fill about 70 percent of the called-in requests within 48 hours, we're working hard to get that percentage up to 100."
Call in the potholes on your street to the Seattle Transportation Department at 386-1218 or visit the web site at www.cityofseattle.net/td/stmforms.asp.
