Greenwood/Phinney ArtWalk
Apr 11, 2002 --
This year marks the seventh anniversary of the Greenwood/Phinney ArtWalk, and it will be the biggest yet. It's all going to happen Friday, May 10 from 6 - 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from noon - 5 p.m.
More than 40 businesses on Greenwood and Phinney Avenues, from 87th to 65th Streets, are participating in the juried show. The various venues will feature an eclectic mix of paintings, sculpture, photography, prints, glass, metal and fiber art, ceramics and mixed media. Entertainment along the route will include musical performances, street performances and chalk art for children.
The jurors for the show include Patricia Cameron of Patricia Cameron Fine Art, Judith Kindler of Atelier 31 Gallery, William Wickstrom of ArtHead Gallery and David Berger, Seattle Post-Intelligencer art critic.
ArtWalk maps will be available the week of the event at participating businesses as well as the Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center (8515 Greenwood), the Greenwood Library (8016 Greenwood) and the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N.
