Apr 11, 2002 -- A man returns from a vacation on a Sunday evening at 8 p.m. and unloads his car across the street from his Wallingford home. As he walks up to his house, he is approached by two men who tell him to drop his bags. He refuses and keeps walking. The suspect who first spoke repeats his demand, this time pulling out a small black handgun and pointing it at the victim. The victim drops the bags, and the suspect tells him he wants the man's car and to give him the keys. He has the gun against the victim's head. The victim hands over his car key. The suspects tell him to run. The victim runs down the street. The suspects get into the car, passing him as he is running. They turn east on NE 40th Street, and the victim returns home to call 911...

A man living at the intersection of N 67th Street and Phinney Avenue N hears a noise outside at 2:05 a.m. Looking out his window, he sees that the stop signs at the southwest corner and southeast corner of the intersection are pushed down with the sign posts broken. A man in his 20s, around six feet tall and 180 pounds, is in the process of pushing down the stop sign at the northwest corner. He does, breaking the post. The man and a companion, who is a little shorter and heavier, then push down the arrow sign at the northeast corner and run west on 67th. The witness tries to follow in his vehicle but loses them southbound on Third Avenue NW. He calls police, who arrive and conduct an area search with no success. City engineers are called to fix the signs...

A security officer working at Garfield High School reports that Portable Classroom No. 1 was burglarized between 3 p.m. on a Friday and 7 a.m. on a Sunday. It appears that suspect(s) pried open the door and took a TV and computer. The other three portables at the school have also been burglarized during the last two weeks...

A man borrows his friend's bicycle, which he keeps in the common area of his apartment complex on15th Avenue NE. Sometime between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 31, the bike is stolen. The victim says that there were many people coming and going all day and that he thought the bike would be safe in the main hallway...

An apartment at the rear of a business on the north side of N 85th Street is the scene of an attempted burglary between 6 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on a Sunday. The resident was at work at the time. He arrived home and found that unknown persons had pried the doorjamb loose and pounded several holes through the door's outer wood layer. They did not gain entry because of metal reinforcing around the deadbolt lock and strike plate...

On a Sunday night at 10:35 p.m., a woman sits on the street at a bus stop near the intersection of N 105th and Aurora Avenue N waiting for the eastbound bus. She notices a man standing about 20 feet away. He moves closer to her and sits down. Then he stands up and exposes himself. He turns toward her and rubs his penis in her face. She screams and the suspect runs away southbound in the nearby alley. The woman gets on the next bus and meets police at the Northgate Transit Center, where she is interviewed. The police are unable to locate the suspect...

An assistant manager of a Ballard business comes to work at 9 a.m. on a Sunday and finds the front door unlocked. Some doors were opened inside also, but he doesn't notice anything out of place. He decides to take the deposits with him to drop off Monday morning, and at that point he discovers that the envelopes have been torn open and rifled through. He tells police that the keys to the lockbox were on top of the box. The only item missing from the deposits is the paper currency, totaling $636. No checks or change were taken and nothing else is missing...
