Jun 20, 2002 -- Katherine Albrecht, founder and director of the national organization Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering, flew into Seattle from New Hampshire to lead a June 15 protest of The Advantage Card at the Harvard Square QFC grocery store on Capitol Hill. About 50 protesters called for an end to the use of supermarket loyalty cards and a boycott of QFC stores, which are owned by the Kroger Corporation, the largest supermarket chain in the U.S.
