Central Area Hosts Community Festival
Jul 04, 2002 --
When the hot weather of late July hits, be sure to take yourself out for a treat at the Central Area Community Festival. This Seafair-sanctioned event takes place on July 26 - 28 and features games and activities for all ages.
The great music, provided by the likes of Cannon Lion of Judah, Ally Mtwalo, Emerald City Jazz, Quichua Mashis and Michael Powers, starts almost as soon as the festival opens each day and doesn't stop until closing time. The festival also includes interactive sports for all ages, a Bicycle Rodeo for kids (bring your bikes!), a chance to meet your favorite big-league sports mascot, food, and lots more!
The Festival takes place from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Garfield Community Center, 2323 E Cherry St. For more information, call 999-3482 or visit www.cacf.com.
