Libraries to Close August 26-September 3
Aug 15, 2002 --
All Seattle Public Library branches will close for a week starting Monday, August 26, the first of two one-week closures in an attempt to meet the budget shortfall and maintain normal operations during the rest of the year. It reopens September 3, after the Labor Day holiday.
During the closure, no catalog access will be available and the entire Seattle Public Library website will shut down. The Quick Information Line and Mobile Services will not be operational.
Book drops will be closed at 9:00 a.m. August 24.
The next library closure happens from December 17 to 23.
