WHEN IT comes to the decision of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle to settle the sex-abuse suits filed against it, a Seattle reader asks: “Where would it get the money? I regularly donate to my Church, in answer to letters of solicitations, which come regularly. Will the archdiocese dip into money collected from Sunday mass donations? Are we being asked to ‘pay’ for sins of priests? Should we?”
